Who said “There’s no such thing as a free lunch”? Or, for that matter, “No eating or drinking in the library”? On Martha’s Vineyard, Island Grown blows up all the rules by serving lunch for free at a public library, every weekday during the upcoming school vacation.

From Monday, Feb. 26 through Friday, March 2, Islanders of all ages can come and enjoy a meal of soup, bread, something to drink and a dessert from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Here’s the daily schedule:

Monday, Feb. 26: Vineyard Haven Library
Tuesday, Feb. 27: West Tisbury Library
Wednesday, Feb. 28: Oak Bluffs Library
Thursday, March 1: West Tisbury Library
Friday, March 2: Oak Bluffs Library

Come on out and meet your neighbors for lunch, and maybe we’ll see you there!
